I put a male in with 5 female mice exactly 30 days ago, one female died about 10 days later, I think from pregnancy, and the others started to get bigger between 5 and 18 days later. I checked today, no babies. They have a 20 gallon aquarium with 2 levels (2ne one only 3 inches high), a wheel, unlimited food and water and a 6x6x4 inch wooden hideout. Is this normal? also they get about 13 hours of daylight because I stay up late, but I dim the lights after that in their room. When should I be expecting the babies? (research told me 21 days plus 3 between adding male and females going into heat) Is it possible that my male is infertile or my females are waiting for some specific condition to be met? Also they have been acting pregnant in that they sleep alot more than usual and eat and drink alot compared to when I got them – 5 mice eat nearly as much as 3 small rats!
